Al Rayyan Stadium will host matches up to the quarter-finals stage during the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
Known as Ahmed Bin Ali Stadium, it is a multi-purpose stadium, 40,000-seater in capacity.
Over 100,000 m3 of concrete and 6,700 tons of structural steel was used to build this project in preparation for the historic first Middle Eastern FIFA World Cup in 2020. Al Rayyan Stadium and Precinct is designed to showcase Qatar’s culture and heritage. The Stadium design is inspired by local patterns and dune-like structures, which resemble the sand dunes that surround traditional desert tents.
